You will notice the transfer speed drops. But like all mechanical drives once you start to copy ALOT of VERY SMALL files. If you are moving large Files (movies, zips, large games) you will get about 100-131 Megs/sec would is good for a portable hard drive. Like all Mechanical Hard drives this one suffers from the same limitations.
